Shadowing myself

Shadowing myself

Really, I’m not quite that tall.

But that is me, several days ago.  The morning light is shining down on what was then a frozen lake.  The lake is free of most of that ice now, the only remainder of winter being the remnants of the ice dunes.  The open lake is an old friend who I’m always glad to see.  She signals the return of warmer days, longer evenings and a softness to the air.
