I originally photographed this mosaic, which reigns over the entrance of a local church, because I loved the colors.
When I returned to process the photo, I enlarged it for cropping. It was then and only then that my attention was drawn to its intricate detail. Thousands of single tiles laid and aligned, with similar or different tiles each individually contributing to a final beauty of the piece. One missing tile might flaw the entire presentation.
Everyone contributes something important to a larger picture, no matter how small the contribution seems.
