Close to 50 degrees. Pulling weeds and raking winter’s remnants to make way for the fresh green grass. A slight sunburn on my cheeks, and at least an hour’s worth of time working in a t-shirt. No jacket or sweatshirt required. That is heaven to me.
What happened? Tonight, as I peer out my window, ice crystals and snow dominate the view. The cardinals, who were just beginning to blend into a greening landscape, stand out once again, like Christmas ornaments on a freshly cut pine.
Yesterday it was Spring. Fresh, lovely, green, sit-on-the-deck, work-in-the-yard, cook-on-the-grill Spring.
Was it something I said?
